Will there be more flu vaccines available in lower mainland...

Will there be more flu vaccines available in lower mainland in January 2021?

There has been a higher than usual demand this year for flu vaccine due to the pandemic. Influenza vaccine shipments will continue to arrive at various locations across the province (e.g., pharmacies, health units, community clinics, etc.) over the next several weeks however there is no way to know what the supply will be by January and ImmunizeBC does not have that info. Please continue to check our Flu Clinic Locator or check in with the pharmacies near you. A local walk in clinic may have vaccine if your family doctor doesn't. You can also try calling your local health unit to see if they can direct you to a location with vaccine. You can find their number here. You can also check your health authority website for that information. It may reassure you to know that as of mid November, there had not yet been any cases of influenza in the province. BC healthcare providers are working hard to deliver the influenza vaccine in a timely manner while ensuring the safety of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your patience at this time.
