Which of the COVID-19 vaccines use Polyethylene glycol (PEG)?

Question:

Which of the COVID-19 vaccines use Polyethylene glycol (PEG)?

Answer:

At this time, only the two mRNA (Pfizer and Moderna) COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada use PEG, and you should not get the vaccine if you have had a life-threatening reaction (anaphylaxis) to PEG before or to a previous dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The AstraZeneca (COVISHIELD) and the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines do not contain PEG.

Please note that the circumstances around COVID-19 vaccines in BC are changing regularly, so this information may change.
