We are from Maple Ridge and our local public health agency...

Question:

We are from Maple Ridge and our local public health agency is not able to administer vaccines. Can we make an appointment with you? It's for myself and my 3 year old daughter- for flu vaccine.

Answer:

ImmunizeBC provides information regarding immunization but we do not provide vaccine services. There has been a higher than usual demand this year for flu vaccine due to the pandemic. Influenza vaccine shipments will continue to arrive at various locations across the province (e.g., pharmacies, health units, community clinics, etc.) over the next several weeks. Please continue to check our Flu Clinic Locator or check in with the pharmacies near you. Pharmacies can only provide flu by injection to people 5 and over. They can provide FluMist nasal spray to those 2 and over but may not currently have a supply. Please check with them. A local walk in clinic may have vaccine if your family doctor doesn't. It may reassure you to know that as of mid November, there had not yet been any cases of influenza in the province. BC healthcare providers are working hard to deliver the influenza vaccine in a timely manner while ensuring the safety of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your patience at this time.
