My daughter is due for her 2 month immunizations on October...

Question:

My daughter is due for her 2 month immunizations on October 28th (she was born aug 28th) but the earliest appt I got was November 25th. Is it okay to get them a month late?

Answer:

It is always ideal to have immunizations on time and when recommended but this is not always possible. You could ask to be put on a cancelation list if that is an option, and you may want to book and appointment for her 2nd set of shots now. They would be given 8 weeks to 2 months after the first set. If you have further questions, contact your local health unit and ask to speak to a public health nurse. You can find the number here.
