Question:

If a child got mumps, does he still need mmr vaccine?

Answer:

A child with a clinical diagnosis of acute mumps and laboratory confirmation of the same is considered to be immune to mumps. If a child is immune to mumps, the Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccine is still recommended for protection against measles and rubella.
