I am moving to Canada from another country and my family and I got vaccinated at home. How do we get our vaccines entered into B.C.’s immunization records? What vaccines do we need to get in B.C.?

It’s important to take your family’s immunization records (a list of the vaccines your family has received in the past) to your local health unit to be checked. Public health will take a copy of your records and enter them into B.C.’s immunization record system. If your records are in a different language, a public health nurse may be able to help translate them. 
 
A public health nurse will:
  • Check your records.
  • Tell you if your family is missing any recommended vaccines.
  • Give missing vaccines for free that are part of the routine BC immunization schedule.
