I am 78 years old. Where can I get pneumoco polysacharide vacine ? How Much?
The pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine is provided free to people 65 years and older. A 2nd dose of vaccine is recommended for people with certain medical conditions. If you have had it before, speak with your health care provider to find out if you need a 2nd dose of vaccine and when you should get it. You can find more info regarding pneumococcal disease here. Normally, you can get publicly-funded vaccines from your local health unit, most pharmacies, some doctors’ offices and some travel clinics. You can purchase non-publicly funded vaccines at most pharmacies and travel clinics. Services vary throughout B.C. and have been impacted by the pandemic.
