Hello: I would like to know the name of the pharmaceutical company that supplies the vaccine to our pharmacies for: Inactivated Influenza (Flu) Vaccine (#12d) and Live Attenuated Influenza (Flu) Vaccine (#12e).
There are various pharmaceutical companies that supply inactivated influenza vaccine to pharmacies for the 2017-18 flu season. Some of the flu vaccine at pharmacies will be from the publicly funded supply and some vaccine will be for the private "for sale" supply and may be supplied by yet another company. It is recommended that you call specific pharmacies for the information as supplies vary from location to location. You can find information about flu clinics in your area here.
The Live Attenuated Influenza (Flu) vaccine referred to in HealthLinkBC File #12e is FluMist which is supplied by AstraZeneca Canada.
