How are the vaccination phases determined in B.C.?

Question:

How are the vaccination phases determined in B.C.?

Answer:

B.C.’s priority groups are determined by public health experts who review extensive research and studies that look at how to best protect vulnerable members of our communities. These groups will change as we get more vaccines, so keep checking the BC CDC eligibility page to stay up-to-date as more groups are announced.

B.C. uses the National Advisory Committee on Immunization’s recommendations as a starting point for our priority groups, and you can learn more about their recommendations on the vaccine rollout website.

Please note that the circumstances around COVID-19 vaccines in BC are changing daily, so this information may change.
