In medical terms, a “booster” is an additional dose of vaccine that increases immunity and long-term protection. It has a double meaning for I Have Immunity: our “Boosters” are people who support the efforts of the campaign by sharing stories, education, and resources in their communities! Our Boosters are just as important for protecting people as the vaccines are- the protection they provide is information.
Below are the ways Boosters can get involved with I Have Immunity!
If you’re a public health nurse, a pharmacist, or a doctor, I Have Immunity wants to hear from you! Please contact us at outreach@ihaveimmunity.com to find out how I Have Immunity can support you!
Share a story!
If you have a story of your own about why immunization matters to you, we’d love to hear it. Share your story with us at outreach@ihaveimmunity.com. Even if you don’t have a story to tell, we hope you’ll share some of the others posted here. Check out our stories to learn why people around BC support immunizations!
Share information about immunization.
Share evidence-based information about immunization both offline at the community level (through peer to peer conversation or at a larger scale) and online using social media.
Engage in outreach activities in your community.
For example: Volunteer at local community events such as health fairs or immunization clinics, or distribute immunization promotional materials in your community.
Bring I Have Immunity to your community!
Is there an event in your community, such as a health or education fair, that you think I Have Immunity should attend? We love supporting events around the province! Email outreach@ihaveimmunity.com and tell us all about it. We can provide you with resources, connect you with public health nurses and fellow boosters in your area, and assist you with planning!
