I have bronchiectosis, . 70 years old. I had a vaccine at public health more than 5 years ago. I thought it was a once only vaccine, now i am wondering if it is to be every 5 year

You are likely referring to the pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine which protects against 23 types of pneumococcal bacteria and is offered free of charge to people 65 years and older.

A 2nd dose of vaccine is only recommended for people with certain medical conditions. Please speak with your health care provider to find out if you need a 2nd dose of vaccine and when you should get it.
